Job Description:

The State of New York – AGM Farm Employer Overtime Refundable Tax Credit project is seeking a .NET Architect to lead software architecture and development for a large-scale web application. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ASP.NET, SQL Server, and enterprise application development.

Specialty Areas:

Software Architecture & Design – High-level design decisions, technical standards, and system architecture for large-scale applications.
Web Development & Database Management – Developing applications using ASP.NET, C#, MVC, and SQL Server.
Application Lifecycle Management – Leading SDLC processes, including Agile methodologies and best coding practices.
Integration & API Development – Designing and implementing REST/SOAP-based web services and responsive web applications.
Stakeholder Communication & Project Support – Collaborating with business users, technical teams, and government agencies for successful project delivery.


Responsibilities:

• Lead and dictate technical standards, software coding guidelines, and architecture decisions.
• Participate in Beekeeper Registration (Phase 2) team, analyzing and documenting business requirements.
• Conduct Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions and create technical design documents as per ITS SDLC guidelines.
• Develop and maintain applications using ASP.NET, C#, VB, HTML, CSS, and SQL Server.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
• Design and implement responsive web applications for mobile and desktop platforms.
• Develop and integrate REST/SOAP-based web services for system interoperability.
• Perform unit testing, regression testing, and debugging to ensure system functionality.
• Provide ongoing technical support, including issue resolution and system enhancements.

Mandatory Requirements:

12+ years of experience in software development and system architecture.
84+ months of experience in ASP.NET Web Forms, MVC, Core, and Web API development.
60+ months of experience in SQL Server development (queries, stored procedures, triggers).
48+ months of experience in front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JSON).
Onsite Requirement: 100% onsite in Albany, NY.


Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building and maintaining responsive web applications.
• Strong knowledge of agile methodologies and software development best practices.
• Prior experience working with state/local government agencies.
