Note: Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in React.js, AI Models, and Large Data Sets. Prior experience integrating with deck.gl and Azure Maps is required.

Job Description:

The State of Virginia is seeking a Lead AI UI Engineer to drive UI strategy, AI integration, and front-end performance optimization. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-driven UI solutions using React.js and Angular, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead UI development efforts for AI-powered applications.
  • Develop and implement React.js and Angular UI components.
  • Integrate AI agents and autonomous systems for enhanced decision-making.
  • Optimize UI components for performance across various web browsers.
  • Build reusable front-end libraries for scalable AI-driven applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement AI solutions.
  • Develop GIS-enabled visualizations using Azure Maps.
  • Ensure security and performance best practices in UI development.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for front-end codebases.
  • Lead code reviews and enforce development best practices.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience with React.js and front-end development.
  • Strong background in AI models, Machine Learning, and Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Experience with GIS-based visualizations using Azure Maps.
  • Proficiency in integrating deck.gl for advanced visualizations.
  • Familiarity with Azure AI solutions (Azure ML, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, etc.).
  • Expertise in UI performance tuning and optimization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of AI-driven UI/UX strategies.
  • Experience in mentoring and leading front-end teams.
  • Ability to analyze and optimize large-scale AI datasets.
  • Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms (JSON Web Tokens, OAuth, etc.).
  • Experience with Azure Function Apps, Power BI, Azure Container Apps.
