Note: This position requires full-time onsite work, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, excluding state holidays.
Job Description:
The Virginia State Police (VSP), in partnership with the Virginia Information Technology Agency (VITA), is seeking a Network Engineer 4 to lead and coordinate activities for the procurement and installation of LiveScan systems statewide. This role involves advising agencies on LiveScan equipment and network requirements, assisting with system upgrades, ensuring cloud-based network connectivity, and coordinating integration efforts with IT suppliers and state technical personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Lead statewide LiveScan system procurement and installation.
- Provide technical guidance for agencies defining LiveScan equipment and network requirements.
- Assist in system upgrades and ensure seamless integration with cloud-based LiveScan servers.
- Establish and configure network connectivity between state and agency systems.
- Coordinate network and system configuration with IT suppliers and state personnel.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
